Surgery and Pre-Op Instructions

Appointments can be made same day or next day appointments. We also schedule as far out as you would like. Please call (919) 620-7729 to Schedule or check our availability for your pets’ surgery. All pets will need to be current on vaccines (Rabies and Distemper) or will be updated upon presentation. If your pet is up to date on vaccines and they were not given at our clinic please bring in proof with you. It is recommended that all animals have food withdrawn the night before surgery at 12pm midnight. Please be aware pets must be kept indoors or confined the next few days after surgery. Check-in time is between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM. If the times stated does not work for you please call our office and arrangements can be made. Please make sure all Dogs and Cats are brought in on leashes and/or carriers. There are many pets that come in for drop off. Please handle your pet responsibly. You must complete the necessary admission form when you arrive. The two forms are for surgery consent and treatment consent. Make sure we have your correct contact information and best emergency number. You may stop by the clinic prior to your pets’ scheduled surgery day and pick up the paperwork to save time the morning of your appointment. Admission typically takes 10 minutes to complete. You must pay for services at the time of check-in. For pets over 7years old it is highly recommended that they receive pre-anesthetic blood work. If your pet is in heat there may be additional charges. Any pets found to have external parasites such as fleas, ticks, and/or worms will be treated at the owner’s expense.
